The four different convenience levels

HIESTAND products are produced to different stages of completion, also known as «convenience levels».

Convenience level 1: RD,
the raw dough

  • deep-frozen after shaping the dough
  • ready to serve in around 2 hours
  • know-how and equipment necessary
  • suitable for regular daily demand in bakeries

 

Convenience level 2: PP,
the pre-proven dough

  • deep-frozen after the tricky proving process
  • ready to serve in around 17 minutes
  • easy to handle
  • suitable for regular daily demand in catering businesses. It also offers bakeries a means of expanding their product range at short notice

 

Convenience level 3: PB,
the part-baked product

  • deep-frozen after baking, immediately before complete crust formation
  • ready to serve in around 5 - 7 minutes
  • easy to handle
  • suitable for sudden and unpredictable demand in all sectors and for businesses with no specialist equipment

 

Convenience level 4: TS,
the thaw & serve product

  • deep-frozen after baking
  • ready to serve once defrosted
  • easy to handle
  • suitable for businesses with no specialist equipment
