Philosophy of raw materials
 |
The HIESTAND raw material philosophy, although defined at a minimum to abide by the legistration and the relevant standard code of food safety and quality, often goes beyond this level.

Flour - We only use flour from non-GMO production, which is free of wheat germs and additives.
|
 |
Water - Pure drinking water is used for the production of our products. If necessary the water is purified according to state of the art technology.
|
 |
Butter - Our bakery products are made from pure butter of the highest quality, made with milk from grass-fed cows, free of additives.
|
 |
Eggs - Commercial pasteurized eggs are used for the production of our bakery products.
|
 |
Fillings - The mostly home-made fillings are based on our own well-established recipes.
|
 |
Fruit and vegetables - Hiestand fillings are made with the best quality dried or frozen fruits and manufactured according to ISO and HACCP standards.
|
 |
Additives - Additives will only be used if there is no alternative and if naturalness and health will not be affected. Only natural bread improvers are used (enzyme based). All products are free from preservatives.

Packaging - Cartons and foil are disposed of separately, according to local concepts. Packing material will be used economically.
|
 |
Salt - The salt used in Hiestand products does not contain Ferrocyanide.
